Mumbai Heroes

Mumbai Heroes stands for the finest of this city. It represents people who – irrespective of their age, social background, or due public recognition – have championed the cause of civic welfare, and worked selflessly for the betterment of Mumbaikars. AAP’s Mumbai Heroes are common citizens of our city – RTI activists, environmentalists, teachers, engineers, lawyers, and others who have dedicated their lives towards the provision of basic civic services, accountability in government, and social welfare.

They have worked to protect our rivers, facilitated the provision of ration & emergency health facilities during Covid, had garbage organized and disposed, had potholes amended & public repaired, built schools, uplifted the vulnerable, and contributed to countless other initiatives and causes.

The AAP believes that our elected representatives must be leaders who rise from, and for the Aam Aadmi; and not from dynasties of political or financial privilege – which have remained in government for years, and exploited the system for their personal gain. On this note, the AAP presents its candidates for the BMC elections 2022 – common Mumbaikars who have selflessly served Mumbai.

Aditi Chakrabarty has stepped up to transform city-level politics & policy in Mumbai – as an eminent citizen, a municipal official with 34 years of experience working with the BMC, as well as the former Vice Chairperson of the Bombay Catholic Sabha’s Orlem Church Unit. Aditya has, for long, been a recognized face in social activism and politics, and worked towards public problem solving and grievance redressal – something that he says was engrained in him right from the days of his education.
